Brisbane the first month.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary
Glass House Mountain
Brookfield horse show (only picture before camera ran out)

We left the heat and humidity of Singapore and flew to Brisbane, a nice 7 hour flight. We were very relieved to arrive in Brisbane and it not be as hot as Singapore. I think I would have been on the first flight home if it had been as humid. The first week we were staying in the Quest Bridgewater Hotel in Kangaroo Point - very flashy! We went on a crazy house hunting frenzy, we soon found out that the rental market in Brisbane is tough and we slowly but surely started losing hope that we would ever find anywhere. Luckily at the end of the week we found a two bedroomed place right near the university, that was fully furnished. The real estate agents wanted to lay a new carpet so there was a little delay on us moving in but we stayed with my boss for a week.

We have managed to so some sight seeing as well as moving into the apartment, me having to work and Garry looking for a job (whilst fishing!) impressive! We went to Caloundra beach on the sunshine coast which was lovely and spent the day on the beach and having a wander around very relaxing. We have also been to the Lone Pine Koala sanctuary which is here in Brisbane and is very cool they have lots of sleeping koala which are very cute and you even get to hold one, I loved it. We went and climbed Mount Coot tha and looked out over Brisbane which I have posted the photographs. We have also visited the famous Australia Zoo - home of the crocodile hunter Steve Irwin. I have managed to drag Garry to a horse show but as a trade off I had to go fishing with him. Although it wasnt too bad - I caught fish he didnt (hehehehe)

Well it is quite a brief round up of what we have done but now I have started the blog spot I will keep it updated often.

We went to Aus Zoo and saw steve Irwin, he was busy with a new build that they were doing. As Zoos go in Aus it wasn't the best but, having said that, we did enjoy it there. if you get a chance to go further up the coast I recommend Townsville and the Billabong Sanctuary.
